Where is my Joy?

What makes you happy? Can you think for just a moment on the things that make you smile?

To say that your Joy is full would be to say that your life if filled with that "exact" thing that it takes to make you happy. What is that "exact" thing?

We read in the bible that if we keep the commandments of God, and abide in His love, just as HE has kept The Father’s commandments and abided in His love that His joy will be in us and that our joy may be full.

What does this mean?

We must chose everyday to follow the commandments of God and to live our life as pleasing to Him. We must walk in the love of Christ. I do not know about you but that is not an easy task for me. There are so many things that seem to be in the way of walking in love.

As a mom with a full time career my days can be very demanding. I find myself leaning on my own ability to get it all accomplished. I have to chose every minuet of the day to walk in love and let my Joy be full in Christ and because of Christ.

Do you ever ask the question "what is my real purpose?"

Sometimes as women we lose our sense of who we are. It tends to get lost in all of our daily activities. We find ourselves going through the motions with no passion and no real purpose.

The truth of the matter is we tend to forget what we were really created for.

I have good news for you, we do have a purpose we have been given in scripture a clear example of who we are to be and where we are to find our passion and joy!

We as children of God were created to Glorify God in all we do and who we are. As mothers, wives, sisters, grand mothers,Friends, co-workers and all the others things we are everyday give God your praise and do it without reservation! Make Him your reason for living.
