India

Last night at church a wonderful family came to us to to share their hearts. They were from India. The mother is the President of the Baptist association there in India. She spoke with such conviction and love of her Savior. She told her story of a life of anguish and Faith. Losing her Husband and first Son and telling the Lord no matter what she will still serve.
My heart went out to her people and the land of India. I am asking all who read this blog to please pray for India and for Touch India Ministries. They are doing a great work and need our prayers.
God has placed a great desire in my heart for these people along with our nation. We should be on our faces begging God to save His chosen. To use us to do a mighty work and to bring Glory to Himself.

Family

Our most basic instinct is not for survival but for family. Most of us would give our own life for the survival of a family member, yet we lead our daily life too often as if we take our family for granted.
The family is the corner stone of our society. More than any other force it shapes the attitude, the hopes, the ambitions, and the values of the child. And when the family collapses it is the children that are usually damaged. When it happens on a massive scale the community itself is crippled. So, unless we work to strengthen the family, to create conditions under which most parents will stay together, all the rest — schools, playgrounds, and public assitance, and private concern — will never be enough.
In dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep to the simple. In conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don't try to control. In work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present. No matter what you've done for yourself or for humanity, if you can't look back on having given love and attention to your own family, what have you really accomplished? I know why families were created with all their imperfections. They humanize you.
Home is the place where boys and girls first learn how to limit their wishes, abide by rules, and consider the rights and needs of others. Families are the compass that guide us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter. You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. At the critical juncture in all human relationships, there is only one question What would love do now?

Changing your mind

I am leading one of our Woman's Sunday School classes. We are in our 5th week of the study Battling Unbelief by John Piper. Can I just say that it is changing my life. Have you ever experienced something that changed the way you think? Not just allowed you to focus on something new but really altered your thinking. This study is doing that for me. God is moving in amazing ways in our class. I can see the women growing and loving Christ with a deeper passion.
Have you ever thought about Future Grace and what it means? And what is means to you? Future Grace is how I make it how I can survive. Knowing and having faith in the fact that every hour minuet and second my steps are ordered by God and that He provides the Grace to allow me to take the next step. I have become more and more aware that my desire to love and know Christ is changing. I am starting to desire him with increasing fervor.

Psalm 73:21-26

When my heart was grieved
and my spirit embittered,

I was senseless and ignorant;
I was a brute beast before you.

Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.

You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.

Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

"And earth has nothing I desire besides you" That is my true heart cry!
